Apple has seeded its second release candidate for macOS Sequoia 15.1, as the public release of the operating system update with Apple Intelligence grows nearer. The first release candidate was issued on October 21, and three days later, Apple brought out a second RC build for testing by developers.
The second RC version is build number 24B83, replacing 24B82. It is unclear exactly what has changed between the first and second release candidates, but at this stage it's likely to be more minor tweaks or behind-the-scenes alterations rather than major changes.
Apple advises users not to install test operating systems or other beta/RC software onto 'mission-critical' or primary hardware due to the small chance of issues that might result in loss of data. The company suggests using secondary or non-essential devices, and having backups before proceeding.
