Apple explores bringing cellular connectivity to Macs for the first time
Apple is investigating the possibility of bringing cellular connectivity to Mac computers for the first time, as part of its plans to transition away from Qualcomm modems and use its own modem technology in iPhones and iPads starting next year. While cellular capabilities are not expected to come to Macs before 2026 with a second-generation modem, Apple is also considering adding cellular support to headsets like future models of the Vision Pro.
