Apple Security Camera Could Recognize People Even Without Seeing Their Face
A recently granted Apple patent describes a smart home security camera system that could recognize people even when their face is not visible. The system would initially use facial recognition to identify a person and then store physical characteristic information about them, including details like clothing and walking gait. Subsequently, the device can compare this stored data with additional physical characteristics shown in another video feed to determine if the identities match. This could allow an Apple security camera to recognize household members from various angles.
