Apple Shakes Up Music and Global Affairs Leadership: A Strategic Move for Future Growth
Apple's Executive Reshuffle: Music and Global Affairs Teams
Apple has initiated a new round of executive changes to enhance the development and operation of its services. This time, the focus is on the Apple Music and Global Affairs divisions.
Apple Music Changes:
- Co-Managing Team: Rachel Newman, an established executive at Apple, and Ole Obermann, formerly of TikTok, will co-manage the Apple Music division.
- Oversight: Oliver Schusser, who previously led Apple Music, now oversees Apple TV+ and sports programs, will provide oversight for the new co-management team.
Global Affairs Adjustments:
- New Reporting Structure: European Head Matt Browne and Asia government affairs chief Elizabeth Hernandez will report to VP Lisa Jackson, while Nick Ammann, the previous head of global policy, will oversee India and China teams led by Frank Fan and Virat Bhatia respectively.
- Alignment with U.S. Government Affairs: The changes align the Asia and Europe teams at the same level as U.S. government affairs, led by Tim Powderly.
These adjustments are part of Apple's ongoing efforts to optimize its operations and address increasing scrutiny from global regulatory bodies.
