Apple Watch users in Brazil can now monitor for signs of sleep apnea, joining over 150 countries where the feature is already available. The watch detects patterns linked to respiratory disturbance events using its accelerometer and advanced machine learning algorithms trained on clinically validated sleep studies. Sleep apnea monitoring data is automatically recorded in the Health app on iPhone or iPad, with users receiving notifications if consistent signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea are detected.
