Apple's Appeal Against Brazil Antitrust Ruling: A Threat to User Privacy and Security
Apple has appealed a ruling by Brazilian antitrust regulator CADE that requires the company to enable sideloading or face daily fines of R$250,000. The original complaint argued that Apple forced developers into using its own payment system. In its appeal, Apple calls the ruling 'arbitrary' and says it 'drastically threatens user privacy and security'.
