A Federal Justice overturned an antitrust ruling against Apple in Brazil, calling it "disproportionate." The regulator's decision is expected to be appealed, though as of now Apple has 20 days to allow external payment options in the App Store and remove anti-steering practices before facing heavy fines. A judge from the 14th Federal Civil Court agreed that something needs to be done but said the complexity of complying with the ruling did not necessitate such a swift change. The decision echoes complaints made against Apple's payment system by other governments, including US and EU.
