End of an Era: Classic Kindles Lose Store Access After 15 Years
Amazon is officially discontinuing support for Kindle Store access on devices released in 2012 and earlier, including the iconic original 2007 model. Starting May 20th, owners of these legacy e-readers and Kindle Fire tablets will no longer be able to browse or purchase content directly from their devices. While users can still access existing libraries and transfer files via a computer, the integrated shopping experience is coming to an end for these pioneering gadgets.
