European Wall: Siri AI Blocked on iOS 27 Due to Digital Markets Act

The smart assistant's next big evolution hits a regulatory roadblock, leaving European iPhone users in the digital waiting room.

Apple's latest intelligence features, dubbed Siri AI, will be conspicuously absent from the European Union's launch of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. This postponement is a direct result of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which imposes strict regulations on how gatekeeper platforms manage data and interoperability. Interestingly, the restriction only applies to mobile and tablet platforms; EU residents will still be able to access Siri AI on macOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27 upon release.
