Two individuals who scammed Apple into replacing fake iPhones with real ones have been sentenced to years in prison, with losses estimated at over $2.5 million.

Two individuals who scammed Apple into replacing fake faulty iPhones with real ones have been sentenced to years in prison. Maryland residents Haotian Sun and Pengfei Xue were sentenced to 57 months and 54 months jail time respectively, following their grand jury conviction in February 2024. The pair and unnamed conspirators defrauded Apple repeatedly between May 2017 and September 2019.
