Google Maps has moved the weather widget from the top-left corner of the map to a new location in the 'Latest in the area' sheet, which slides up from the bottom. The change is rolling out in version 11.153.x on Android and aims to make the map slightly less cluttered. Previously, the rectangular weather widget appeared over the map layer.
