Google redesigns Gemini homescreen for simplicity on Android

Google has rolled out another redesign to the Gemini app's Android homescreen, making it even simpler. The text box at the bottom now notes how you can interact with Gemini Advanced in a truncated form on the same line as four buttons for different input types. Tapping the text field expands it to the old UI. Paired with other minimalist changes, Google is opting for a look not too dissimilar from the iconic Google Search homepage.
