CEO Sundar Pichai and other Google executives had a strategy meeting for 2025, with scaling Gemini being their top priority. The company plans on introducing new AI features in the first half of the year and aims to make Gemini, its first-party AI app, reach half a billion monthly users by end of next year.

Pichai said that Google has work to do this upcoming year in terms of closing gaps and establishing leadership positions in various technological fields. DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis stated that Google is looking to turbo charge the Gemini app over the next two years, evolving into a universal assistant capable of operating across any domain or device.
