Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.4: Seven New Features and Changes

Onscreen Awareness for Siri: Siri will gain onscreen awareness, similar to the capabilities of visionOS, allowing it to understand and act on visual elements you're interacting with, such as adding a new address from an iMessage.

Siri's New App Action Catalog: Using App Intents, Siri will be able to perform hundreds of new app actions without opening the apps. For example, you can ask Siri to find a photo, edit it, and save it to a specific folder in the Files app using just your voice.

Personal Context Knowledge: Siri will have better knowledge of user-specific information, such as finding a recipe from various sources or sharing details like passport numbers and calendar history.

Priority Notifications: Apple Intelligence will prioritize important notifications by understanding their content and context, ensuring you don't miss critical alerts while reducing the need for manual notification management.

Sketch Style in Image Playground: A new Sketch style will be added to the Image Playground app, providing a new way to stylize AI-generated images.

Apple Intelligence in the EU: Proper Apple Intelligence support will be extended to EU users on both iPhone and iPad starting in April with iOS 18.4.

New AI Languages: Apple Intelligence will support new languages including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese, as well as localized English for Singapore and India.
