Kuo predicts Apple's affordable 'Apple Vision' headset delayed beyond 2027

Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple has delayed its plans to release a more affordable Apple Vision headset in 2025, pushing the timeline to at least 2027. This cheaper version was expected to have lower resolution displays and lack support for EyeSight, but it seems that Apple's vision for expanding the reach of spatial computing with a cheaper headset may be on hold for now.

Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that Apple has delayed its plans to release a more affordable Apple Vision headset beyond 2027. Previously, rumors suggested that the cheaper headset would be released in 2025 with lower resolution displays and no support for EyeSight to make spatial computing more accessible. However, Kuo now expects the release of this more affordable device to take an extra couple of years. In contrast, he still believes Apple will launch a new version of the Apple Vision Pro next year, equipped with an M5 chip and support for Apple Intelligence.
