Motorola Razr+ (2024) Finally Gets Android 15 Update, Two Months Ahead of Schedule

Motorola is now rolling out the Android 15 update for the Motorola Razr+ (2024), a significant improvement over last year's delayed Android 14 rollout for the previous model. The update, which is around 2GB in size, has started reaching users in the U.S. and internationally, just days before pre-orders open for the 2025 Motorola Razr series.

Key features of the update include an enhanced Bluetooth Quick Settings menu with options to pair new devices, switch between paired devices, check battery levels, and more. The update also introduces satellite messaging support, enabling users to send SMS messages when mobile networks are unavailable. There's a one-tap hotspot feature for easy device connectivity using the same Google account, and several accessibility improvements such as better control over hearing devices and enhanced vision support.

Security enhancements in Android 15 include the ability to find powered-off phones and connected accessories, adaptive authentication that locks the screen after multiple failed attempts, and secure password access with biometric options. Other notable additions are larger thumbnails in the photo picker, new emoji stickers, and customizable Gen-AI emojis.
