New iPad 11 Misses Out on Advanced Apple Intelligence Features Due to A16 Chip Limitation

Discover why the latest iPad 11, despite its A16 chip and speed boost, misses out on cutting-edge Apple Intelligence features that are reshaping user experiences.

Apple has released two new iPad models, with the latest iPad Air featuring the M3 chip and the base model, iPad 11, equipped with the A16 chip. Although the A16 chip offers a significant performance boost over its predecessor, it lacks support for Apple Intelligence features due to insufficient RAM (6GB). This means that users of the new iPad 11 will not have access to Writing Tools, Genmoji, and enhanced Siri functionalities, which are available on devices with the A17 Pro chip or later, and M1 or later. The new iPad 11 starts at $349 in the US and comes with 128GB of storage, double that of the previous model. Pre-orders are open, and it will be available for purchase starting March 12.
