Nvidia has released Shield Experience 9.2, the first major update for Nvidia Shield TV in over two years. This update is now rolling out to all Shield TV devices and includes a considerable amount of bug fixes along with some new features. Notable bug fixes address issues with fast-forward and rewind during video playback, remote responsiveness after waking from sleep, Apple Music casting problems, and more. The update also introduces support for AURO-3D, enabling high-resolution immersive sound over HDMI. Additionally, it enhances the match Frame Rate feature (in beta), adds a French parental control option, and includes security improvements for 4K DRM playback. However, one known issue is that this update may break Google Home integration, requiring users to re-add their Shield TV to the app manually.
