Reviving the iPod: The Story of Elite Obsolete Electronics

Keeping the legacy alive - meet the company that's breathing new life into old iPods.

Apple's discontinuation of the iPod brand doesn't stop Elite Obsolete Electronics from keeping the device alive through repairs, customisations and upgrades.

Elite Obsolete Electronics started in 2018 as owner Austin Lucas saw potential in servicing an outdated yet sentimental device.

The company specialises in offering pre-built, ready-to-use upgraded iPods rather than doing repairs.

Lucas says most of their customers are Gen X and Boomers with large iTunes libraries who prefer using a dedicated MP3 player.
