Revving Up the Road: Android Automotive Gains Momentum with New Developer Kit
Snapp Automotive has introduced a developer kit for testing apps on Android Automotive, making it easier for more apps to come to the platform. The kit consists of a free software download from Snapp which allows Android Automotive OS to run on a common board, the Khadas VIM3 Pro, which costs around $100. This is paired with any touchscreen display that works over HDMI/USB. Unlike Google’s official offering, Snapp says it will support AAOS builds on Android 15, 14, 13, 12, and 12.1.
