Roblox CEO Tells Parents: Don’t Let Kids Use App if You’re Concerned About Harmful Content

The CEO of Roblox, Dave Baszucki, has addressed growing parental concerns over harmful content on the platform by suggesting that if parents are not comfortable with it, they should simply not allow their children to use it. Roblox is a highly popular app among young users, allowing them to create and play user-generated games, but there have been numerous reports of children encountering explicit or inappropriate content, as well as instances of bullying and grooming. Baszucki asserts that the company does take measures to detect and block such content, but ultimately believes parents should make the final decision. However, parent groups argue that this is easier said than done, especially with multiple children in a household, where constant supervision is not always possible.
