Samsung Wallet Introduces Game-Changing ‘Tap to Transfer’ Feature for P2P Payments
Samsung Wallet is introducing a 'Tap to Transfer' feature that simplifies peer-to-peer payments by allowing users to send money using NFC technology. This new functionality works with physical debit cards and other digital wallets, such as Google Wallet or Apple Wallet, provided the card has tap-to-pay capabilities. Users can also send money through phone numbers, though this method is limited to Samsung Wallet users. The feature leverages partnerships with Visa and Mastercard, enabling seamless transfers without the need for additional apps. However, it's currently available only in the United States and requires a contactless Visa or Mastercard debit card from a participating U.S. bank. 'Tap to Transfer' is set to launch later this month, alongside an upcoming installment payment feature.
