Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 Gets Innovative with One UI 7 Beta Update, Embracing Pixel Fold Features
Samsung's One UI 7 Update for Galaxy Z Fold 6
Samsung has introduced the beta version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, bringing two notable features inspired by Google’s Pixel Fold and other foldable devices. The first feature is the 'swipe to continue' functionality, which allows users to resume apps on the outer display when the device is closed by swiping up on the lock screen. This feature has been available on devices from Oppo, Honor, and Google for some time.
The second feature is an auto-hiding taskbar, a change that Google implemented in Android 13. The new taskbar appears with a half-swipe gesture, similar to how it works on iPads, offering more screen space when not in use. Previously, Samsung's static taskbar took up valuable display real estate.
These updates are part of the One UI 7 beta and are expected to roll out to all Galaxy Fold users starting in April 2025.
