Developer BlackBearReloaded has released ProsperoEden, an unofficial port of the Eden emulator designed to run natively on jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles. Eden itself is a fork of the discontinued Yuzu project, repurposed to function within the Sony homebrew ecosystem. While currently in an experimental state, this project marks a significant milestone for the console modding community, demonstrating the technical feasibility of running Nintendo software on Sony's latest hardware. Users with modified firmware can now begin testing cross-platform gaming capabilities that were previously restricted by hardware silos.
