Assa Abloy has initiated a massive restructuring of Level Home, the startup famous for its discrete smart lock designs. Reports indicate that the majority of the company's workforce has been laid off and the original founders are no longer with the firm. Moving forward, Level is being integrated into the Kwikset brand. While the parent company has stated it will continue to support and develop Level products, the significant staff reductions and organizational shift signal a major retreat from the brand's independent operations and original vision for smart home security.
