Tim Cook Announces $4.1M Developer Education Fund at Zhejiang University in China
During his latest visit to China, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, visited Zhejiang University to announce a $4.1 million donation to support its iOS developer education program. This new initiative, the Apple Mobile Application Incubation Fund, is part of Apple's ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and education in China. The fund will offer comprehensive training in app development, design, marketing, and business, aiming to empower the next generation of developers and entrepreneurs. Cook's visit also included a surprise appearance at the 10th anniversary celebration of Zhejiang University’s Mobile App Innovation Competition, an event that Apple has supported for a decade, contributing a total of $6.9 million. The competition has grown from 161 universities to nearly 1,000 across Greater China, benefiting over 30,000 participants.
