WhatsApp Status Updates: Tagging, Likes, and More

WhatsApp has introduced new features to its Status feature, similar to Instagram Stories. Users can now tag other accounts in their Status, with the mentioned users able to repost the status to their own account. The update also brings likes to WhatsApp Status, allowing friends to react with a single tap.

Additionally, WhatsApp announced improvements to its Channels feature a few weeks ago, allowing users to find new channels by category such as People, Organizations, Lifestyle, Sports, Entertainment, Businesses, and News & Information. The platform also introduced new filters and backgrounds for video calls.
