Yale, in partnership with Google, has announced the new Yale Smart Lock with Matter, set to replace the Nest x Yale Lock from 2018. This lock is designed to complement Nest Doorbells, sharing similar aesthetics including a pill-shaped design and three finish options: Ash, Matte Black, and Snow. Key capabilities include managing household access, editing passcodes, creating guest profiles, and receiving lock/unlock notifications through the Google Home app. The product is expected to be available later in summer 2023 at a price of $170.
