Analysts at TD Cowen have conducted a cost breakdown analysis of Apple's iPhone 16 range and determined that the new models are more expensive to produce than the previous generation, iPhone 15. The components, box, and assembly process for a 256GB iPhone 16 Pro Max cost approximately $485, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max had a Bill of Materials (BOM) of $453. This represents an increase of about $32.
