Apple released a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2 (build number 7B19) which, together with iOS 18.1, brings three powerful new hearing health features: Hearing Test, Hearing Aid, and Hearing Protection. The Hearing Test provides scientifically-validated results from the comfort of home for users aged 18 years or older; the Hearing Aid offers personalized assistance automatically applied to sounds in the user's environment (for users with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss); and the Hearing Protection feature minimizes exposure to loud noise across listening modes. These features are exclusive to AirPods Pro 2.
