Android 15 Pixel Update Officially Launching in October

Android 15 will not roll out to Pixel devices until October, with the Android 15 Pixel update officially launching in October according to a new report.

Google has finished testing Android 15 with Beta 4.2, but it won't roll out to Pixel devicesuntil October. This delay is surprising as the beta was reportedly pretty stable already by now.

Google is already moving on to testing Android 15 QPR1 ahead of a December release, while some expected the stable update to be available as early as August or at least September after the release of Beta 4.2 and Google providing instructions to wait for it. The launch delay may be due to improving its stability.

The gap between now and Android 15's release on AOSP (Android Open Source Project) next week looks much longer than usual, being only 15 days in one past instance.
