Android 15 QPR2 Beta to Stable: No Data Wipe OTA Update Arrives

Android 15 QPR2 Beta to Stable ‘No Date Wipe’ OTA Update
Following the wide release of Android 15 QPR2 Beta 3 in late January, users who did not want to join the Android 16 Beta were advised to opt out of the Android Beta Program. This resulted in frequent notifications prompting them to leave the beta and return to Android 15 QPR1 stable, but with the requirement of wiping their device.
As of Thursday afternoon, Google has begun rolling out the ‘Android Beta Exit No Data Wipe’ OTA update, allowing users to transition from the beta version to the stable release without losing their data. The update is approximately 15 MB on a Pixel 6 Pro and can be installed by navigating to Settings > System > Software updates > System update. Users should confirm the ‘No Data Wipe’ title before starting the installation process.
This stable release primarily ensures that users who were on Beta 3 receive the latest security patches and other minor fixes, without introducing any new features. Users are encouraged to restart their device if they do not see the update notification immediately.
