Android 16 Beta 2 Brings Power Button Shortcut for Google Wallet

Android 16 Beta 2 introduces a new power button shortcut, allowing users to quickly open Google Wallet with just two taps.

In Android 16 Beta 2, a new power button shortcut allows users to open the Google Wallet app by double-pressing the power button. This feature can be enabled and configured in the 'Gestures' section of the device's Settings. Previously, the power button shortcut opened the camera app with a double-click. The change is now live on Google Pixel devices running Android 16 Beta 2 and was expected since it was hidden in the first beta release. This update could potentially open the door for other wallet apps to utilize this shortcut as well.
