Google has rolled out Android 16 Beta 2.1 to supported Pixel devices, addressing several bugs and improving system stability. The update is available over-the-air (OTA) for the following Pixel models: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Key Fixes:

  • Doze Mode: Resolved an issue that sometimes prevented devices from entering Doze mode (Issue #396603519).
  • Live Wallpapers: Fixed choppy animations while configuring live wallpapers (Issue #397659072).
  • Unexpected Reboots: Addressed a problem causing some devices to reboot unexpectedly (Issue #396541565).
  • System Stability and Performance: Resolved various other issues impacting system stability, connectivity, and performance.

OTA Size:

  • The update is 11.60 MB for the Pixel 9.

Eligibility:

  • All eligible devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will receive this update through an OTA push.

Factory Images and OTA Updates:

  • Factory images and OTA updates are available for all supported Pixel models.
