Android Auto 14.0 Update Rolls Out: Paving the Way for Future Features
Android Auto 14.0 Update Now Rolling Out
Google has officially started rolling out the Android Auto 14.0 update to a wider user base after its initial beta release in mid-March. This update is part of Google's regular and rapid release cycle for Android Auto, which includes both bug fixes and behind-the-scenes optimizations.
While the v14.0 update doesn't introduce many new user-facing features, it does include some subtle changes. One notable change is the redesign of the microphone icon that triggers Google Assistant, now featuring a solid white design instead of its previous colored appearance. This change is likely in preparation for the upcoming integration of Gemini, a new feature being developed for Android Auto.
The update also lays the groundwork for future features, such as the ability to play certain Android games on your car's display through Android Auto. However, this feature will require a newer update to be available.
Users can check for and download the latest Android Auto updates via the Google Play Store.
