Android phone files now visible in Windows File Explorer without USB connection
Windows may soon allow users to view and edit their Android phone's files through PCs in File Explorer
Microsoft is beginning to roll out a new Windows File Explorer integration that allows Android phone files to appear in the File Explorer UI, without needing a USB connection. The feature appears to be rolling out automatically and server-side, not requiring a system update. Android file management on Windows had previously been limited to accessing photos through Phone Link or connecting via USB.
