Apple Brings Advanced Hearing Health Features to AirPods Pro 2 in Four New Countries

Apple Expands Hearing Health Features to Additional Countries
Apple has introduced its clinical-grade hearing health features for the AirPods Pro 2 to Australia, Brazil, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia. These features, which include a five-minute hearing test and real-time sound adjustments, have been available in the US since September 2024. The hearing test helps users understand their level of hearing loss and adjusts audio output accordingly, allowing the AirPods Pro 2 to function as hearing aids for moderate hearing loss.
The features also include Loud Sound Reduction to prevent exposure to loud environmental noise, but this is currently only available in certain regions such as Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, the United States, and some US territories. Apple maintains an updated list of countries where these features are supported on its AirPods Pro Hearing Health Availability page.
The hearing test results provide a summary of hearing loss and an audiogram stored in the Health app, which can be shared with healthcare providers for further assistance.
