Apple Expands Advertising Horizons with New 'Apple Ads' Branding
Apple has officially rebranded its Search Ads business as 'Apple Ads,' reflecting the expanded scope of its advertising offerings beyond just promoted search results in the App Store. The new name better encapsulates the various placements available for ads, such as the Today tab, Search tab, and the 'You Might Also Like' section on other app pages. This rebranding could hint at further plans to expand into other Apple services like Apple Maps, although this remains speculative. In a message to developers, Apple explained that the name change is due to the growth in ad placements since the initial launch of Search Ads in 2016.
