Apple has expanded its Tap to Pay on iPhone feature to the United Arab Emirates, allowing merchants to accept payments without a separate contactless card reader.

Apple has launched its Tap to Pay on iPhone feature in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This feature allows merchants to accept payments without a separate contactless card reader by simply holding their iPhones close to one another. The rollout of this feature began in the US in 2022 and has since expanded to other countries such as the UK, France, and Japan. In the UAE, Tap to Pay on iPhone is supported by payment platforms Adyen, Magnati, and Network International, and works with contactless credit and debit cards from major providers.
