Apple faces potential extended antitrust controls in Germany

German federal court signals Apple could be subject to extended antitrust law due to its market dominance

A German federal court has indicated that the country's antitrust regulator could win its legal battle with Apple over whether it should be subject to extended anti-competition controls. If the Bundeskartellamt wins the case, Apple would face additional checks and balances on its business activities for a five year period starting from April 2023.
