Apple Faces Shareholder Proposal to Increase Transparency Over AI Data Usage
Apple could be forced to detail more of its AI activity after a proposal asks shareholders to expose whether Apple is truly working ethically in the field when training Apple Intelligence.

Apple's AI efforts may be scrutinized further after a proposal asks shareholders to vote on whether the company should expose if it is truly working ethically when training Apple Intelligence. The National Legal and Policy Center has submitted an item, Proposal 4, onto the February 25 Annual Shareholder Meeting's ballot that would have the tech giant prepare a report about AI development risks. This includes what steps are being taken to mitigate those same risks.
