An Apple Intelligence Chinese launch isn’t looking closer as the company continues forced talks with local companies about partnerships. The Chinese government requires all AI systems to be submitted for approval and it has been implied that approval would not be forthcoming for Apple's generative AI models. Apple is now in talks with Tencent and ByteDance about integrating their artificial intelligence models into iPhones sold in China, but little progress appears to have been made to date.
