Apple Intelligence Hits the EU with iOS 18.4 Update

Apple Intelligence Now Available in the EU with iOS 18.4
Apple has finally brought its advanced AI features, collectively known as Apple Intelligence, to iPhone and iPad users in the European Union (EU) through the release of iOS 18.4. Initially, these features were not available in the EU due to regulatory compliance issues outlined by the Digital Markets Act. However, after navigating these regulations, Apple has made the update available a day ahead of schedule, on March 31.
Key Features of Apple Intelligence:
- Writing Tools: Systemwide tools for proofreading, rewriting, or reformatting text.
- Clean Up in Photos: Easily remove unwanted objects from photos.
- Notification Summaries: AI-generated summaries to make notifications more actionable and helpful.
- Genmoji: Create custom emoji for use across all apps.
- ChatGPT in Siri: Tap into ChatGPT’s knowledge through Siri or directly via queries.
- Image Playground: Generate original AI images in animation or illustration styles.
- Visual Intelligence: Get relevant information from the environment using the iPhone’s Camera Control or Action button.
Previously, EU users were blocked from accessing Apple Intelligence due to their location. Now, with iOS 18.4, these features are available to all EU users, with access currently only restricted in China.
