Apple Introduces Purchase Migration: Move Your Content Between Apple Accounts
Apple introduces a new feature allowing users to transfer their app and media purchases between Apple Accounts, streamlining the process for those using multiple accounts for different functionalities.

Apple Enables Transfer of Purchases Between Apple Accounts
Apple has introduced a feature that allows users to transfer purchased content such as apps and music from one Apple Account to another. This new capability is detailed in an updated support document on the Apple website. The primary purpose of this feature is to assist users who manage two accounts: one for iCloud services and another for App Store and media purchases.
Key Points:
- Eligibility: Users must have both accounts set to the same country and region, with two-factor authentication enabled and valid payment methods. Family Sharing must be disabled.
- Geographical Restrictions: The feature is not available in the European Union, United Kingdom, or India.
- Process:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your Apple Account name.
- Select 'Media and Purchases'.
- Scroll down to 'Migrate Purchases' and tap it.
- Review account information and follow the on-screen steps.
- Post-Migration: The secondary account will no longer be usable for purchases, and users should sign out of it after completing the process.
Apple has also provided a method to undo the migration if needed.
