Apple Makes it Easier to Trust New Computers with Face ID on Latest iOS 18.2 Beta

The latest iOS 18.2 beta now lets users trust a new computer with Face ID when they plug their iPhone or iPad into an unknown computer, making it easier to managing trusted devices without having to enter the device's passcode.

The second beta of iOS 18.2 has been released, adding new features and changes. One notable addition is the ability for iPhone and iPad users to trust a new computer using Face ID. This feature was previously only possible by entering the device's passcode. The update also includes various improvements related to Apple Intelligence, such as Genmoji, Image Playground, ChatGPT integration and Visual Intelligence on iPhone 16 models. iOS 18.2 is expected to be released to the public in December.
