Apple Pulls HomePod 18.1 Beta 2 After Bricking Reports
Apple pulls HomePod 18.1 beta 2 after reports of bricked devices.
Apple has withdrawn the HomePod 18.1 beta 2 update due to multiple reports of devices crashing and bricking after installation. The issue was reported by several users, including one who was able to restore their HomePod mini to version 18.0 using Apple Configurator. Apple has not announced the withdrawal of the update, but it is no longer available. This is the second time in a week that Apple has pulled an update due to bricking issues, following a similar issue with iPadOS 18 updates on iPads with the M4 processor.
