Apple rolls out second beta round for major OS updates: iOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and more

iOS 18.4 and Other Operating Systems Enter Second Beta Testing Round Apple has initiated the second round of developer betas for multiple operating systems, including iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, tvOS 18.4, watchOS 11.4, and visionOS 2.4. This follows the first beta release on February 21 and the public release of the previous generation of betas (iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, tvOS 18.3, watchOS 11.3, and visionOS 2.3) on January 27.
Notable Changes in iOS 18.4:
- Apple Intelligence: Enhanced with more localization support and new features like a sketch style in Image Playground and Priority Notifications for important alerts.
- Apple Vision Pro App: A new app to guide users through the setup and use of the Apple Vision Pro headset, featuring a Discover section and a Spatial Gallery.
- Apple News+: Addition of food content.
- Control Center: New Ambient Music controls.
- Smaller Updates: Improvements in Apple Maps, Apple Wallet, CarPlay, Mobile Device Management, Podcasts, and Siri.
iPadOS 18.4:
- Email Categorization: On-device email categorization feature for better organization.
visionOS 2.4:
- Apple Intelligence Support: Enhancements to support Apple Intelligence features.
Apple advises against installing beta software on primary devices due to potential bugs and data loss, recommending secondary or non-essential devices with adequate backups.
