Apple seeks to expand AirPods production to India to mitigate tariff impact
Apple looking at expanding AirPods manufacture to India
Apple is looking to expand AirPods manufacturing to India to avoid tariffs on imports from China, according to a report. The assembly will be handled by Foxconn's India division and is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025. This move will help Apple reduce the financial impact of the impending tariffs and build upon its existing success in assembling iPhones in India, where about 14% of all iPhones globally come from.
