Apple Shakes Up Leadership in Music and Global Affairs Divisions

Apple reshuffles leadership in Apple Music and Global Affairs, introducing new deputies to streamline operations and enhance international relations.

Apple has restructured leadership in the Apple Music and global affairs divisions:

  • Apple Music Leadership Changes:

    • Rachel Newman, a longtime executive, and Ole Obermann, a TikTok music veteran, will co-manage Apple Music under Oliver Schusser.
    • These changes aim to alleviate Schusser's responsibilities, as he oversees multiple services including TV+, sports initiatives, the Beats brand, and international markets.
  • Global Affairs Leadership Changes:

    • The Asia and Europe teams will now be on the same reporting level as US government affairs, led by Tim Powderly.
    • Nick Annman, a deputy to Lisa Jackson, is now responsible for government affairs in India and China and working with the Trump administration.
