Apple has filed a lawsuit against former iOS Software Engineer Andrew Aude, accusing him of leaking confidential information about multiple Apple products and internal policies. The leaks include details about an unreleased Journal app, development in the spatial computing space, regulatory compliance strategies, product hardware characteristics, and more. Aude communicated with journalists from The Wall Street Journal and The Information, sending thousands of messages over encrypted channels. During a meeting with Apple to discuss his actions, Aude deleted evidence from his phone by pretending to go to the bathroom. He has since been terminated but is still considered an ongoing threat due to his extensive knowledge of Apple's confidential information.
